EDUCATORS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE EMPLOYMENT FIRST MISSION

As an educator, you help students plan for the future they want as they prepare to transition into employment or post-secondary education. Educators also assist students in accessing Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), which include career exploration and job readiness services provided by the state government.

There are many formal and informal ways that you as an educator can help your students achieve Employment First.

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) provides support, resources, and information for state and local agencies, organizations, and professionals working to help youth transition into the workforce. Their website has many resources for professionals, agencies, and families to support youth into integrated employment.
